Dover Design Studio
 
Dover Design Studio runs on the Adobe AIR platform and changes to AIR can affect its performance. Any update of AIR can cause problems with the print functionality of Design Studio. We strongly suggest that you do not install this update. Before updating AIR from the version on the DVD, please return to this web page for the most current information.
 
Windows OS:
If you experience problems using Dover Design Studio after updating Adobe Air you must uninstall both of these programs, then reinstall them from the Dover DVD.
After reinstallation you will be prompted again to update to a new version of Adobe Air—DO NOT UPDATE. The program should function normally.
 
To uninstall Adobe Air and Dover Design Studio:
Click START>CONTROL PANEL> ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS (sometimes called "Install or Remove Programs")
from the list of programs that pops up select:
ADOBE AIR>CHANGE/REMOVE
at the prompt ADOBE AIR SETUP click UNINSTALL
then select:
DOVER DESIGN STUDIO>CHANGE/REMOVE
The programs will be uninstalled from your computer.
Reinsert the Dover Design Studio DVD into your computer and reinstall the program.

Mac OSX:
If installation of the software program hangs up or stops before completion:
Double click on the Design Studio DVD on your computer's desktop or in the 'Devices' list in the Finder
Double click on the Data folder
Double click on the file called DesignStudio_1.0.0.1106211.air
When the Application Install dialogue box appears click Install
You will be prompted to choose an installation location or to allow installation into the default location (/Applications)
After your selection click Continue
Installation is complete when the Design Studio program opens on your desktop.
